Hello family, friends, and fellow cruisers!

Ok, the site has been gathering a little dust since we left Tahiti in the summer of 2005!  So much has happened and we're going to do our best to get the site back up to speed.

Now that we've "swallowed the anchor" so to speak (although I find this family sailing a lot more than when we were on passage) many folks have contacted us for tips and advice.  On "The Crew" link you'll find the odd and ends you may be looking for from our point of view.  I've also tried to put together a Links page that gives the good, the bad and ugly of suppliers we used.  Under the Archives you'll find the entire web site as it existed for each of the years we were underway.

We now rest our heads in the comfort of our little cliff side home in Opua, not even 500 yards from where we first "hit" New Zealand.  Ohana sits patiently just outside the window and finds her way out to the Bay almost every week.  We had planned to settle here prior to crossing the Pacific and had all of our residency paperwork submitted by the time we reached Tahiti.  Following some physicals and an interview with New Zealand Immigration we became permanent residents in March of 2006!  Just have to shake this American accent and we'll fit right in.

The girls are in a great school and thriving.  The weeks are full of activities and the weekends now include racing around the harbor in Optimists.  Mom and Dad have been furiously remodeling this 30 year old kiwi house and actually see light at the end of the tunnel!  Summer is upon us and guests are on the way so we are really excited to get things wrapped up.

Keep an eye on the site as we'll be attempting to update the photos and notes.  Doing this on our own this time around so watch out!  Thanks to everyone for being supportive and encouraging during our "turn" across the big blue.  We hope we can pass on some inspiration to others who are preparing to do the same!
